is it necessarily the best idea to buy the oldest body style of the integra gsr.

No, of course not. I'm not too sure if I understand your question but let me see if I can help. I know alot of people who like the older body style (93'). I personally like the 96'+ GSR body style yet I own and am content with (because I plan on getting a body kit eventually) a 95' GSR. The only main differences I have noticed between the 95' and 96'+ are the bumpers and maybe the badge. To each is own.

i ask this b/c i read a book titled "making the cars of the fast and the furious" and chapter 1:how to pick a good tuner car states that they chose a car of the oldest bodystyle of that generation with a good engine but bad paint and interior. is that the way to go.
