well most people don't even consider it a 4th gen, some consider it 3.5 and some don't even realize there is a difference. but the only real difference is the headlights, they are made to look a little more aggresive.

Alot of people consider 4th gen to be the rsx.

are you talking about the projection head lights on the 4th gen.

i guess what i was talking about was more the bumper around the lights than the actual headlights. if you look closely they have a more aggressive cut out for the lights to sit in. i'll see if I can find some pics.

i think the headlights are actually a bit bigger too but not real noticable there is also slight differences in the bumpers front and back and the taillights are different colors but are you talking about the difference between 96 and 97 or the difference between dc2 and dc5

not sure what dc2 and dc5 means. be body style question was based on the fact that in jcw catologs(sp?) i see 94-97 and 98-01 and i don't see a body style difference when i look them up in cars.com, they look identicle to me.

dc5 is the rsx, dc2 is the ones you are talking about. if you put them side by side and looked at the front end you would notice. until then you probly will not notice. Its one of those things that until you see it you really wouldn't notice. This is the main reason why most people don't consider it a new (4th) generation.

ok found some good examples. I'm not going to post the pics here because they are not mine to post but I will try and link to the specific spots in the Post up your Tegs here thread at the top of this page.

Whttegs 94 integra notice the pictures of the front end and head lights: if it just opens the page it is post #13 about half way down.

ok and here is a good example of a 98 belonging to gnushit, notice how the headlight and especialy the headlight recess look more swept back? and not just a hole punched in the bumper like the 94? Look at all gnushits pics they show it pretty good 2 posts in a row. This one is post # 44 and 45, last two on the page.

The differences are that the side moldings are black on the 3rd generations and the side moldings on the 4th generations match the body color of paint. Also, if you look closely, the front end on the 4th gen Integras has subtle flares that come out of the bottom, whereas the 3rd generations do not. And if you look at the grill part of the front end, the 3rd gen has that bar in the middle that matches the body's paint and the 4th gen doesn't. I guess that it's to make the 4th gen Integras more aggressive-looking than it's predecesors.

I maybe wrong since it's almost 1 in the morning so correct me if I am. :dunno:

the body molding has to do with what model it is. for instance a gs-r will have painted molding while a rs will not.

for example even my 2nd gen has painted molding, see:

the reason for this question is to know if i could fit a 94-97 bodykit on a 98-01. not only bodykits but engine parts. also do both generations have a b18c vtec engine, so a 94-97 gsr engine part will fit in a 98-01 gsr.

Well the engine and other engine parts and chasis parts wll fit, and i think the body kit will too. But not sure about the body kit, i mayb wrong.
