How long does it take to strip a car with dot3?

couple hours...mabye a little longer. atleast with my expiriences.

All depends on the paint, enamels come off quite quickly acrylics and car paints can take weeks. It also depends on if your brake fluid is new and (discovered recently) if the air hasn't been alowed to get to it. :smile:

i had a car with 1 coat of tamiya primer, 2 coats tamiya spray, and a heavy top coat of model masters laquer flat (don't ask why). It all came off with water and a toothbrush after leaving overnight.

I've found acrylics just melt off, and enamels take a little longer. I don't think I have done lacquers yet, but probably soon....
If you have an airbrush, load it with alcohol or other light solvent (Maybe 409 or Windex) and spray down the parts after the come out of the bath: It saves a lot of scrubbing with a toothbrush.
If you don't have an airbrush, pick up an empty spray bottle from a grocery or department store and fill it with alcohol and use that.
