type r wing fitment

I have a 95 integra ls and i bought a jdm type r wing but it seems to be about 2 inches too long across, I dont know if the hatch on a jdm type r is two inches wider,but it wont fit my ls,it is oem so it is plastic, if anyone has put on a oem type r wing on an ls, let me know if you had to modify it,and how?
