97 Lumina fast idle, low acceleration

I have a 97 Lumina just had the intake manifold done by a buddy, after he finally got the spark plug wires right, it seemed ok. Then it started idling super high. Checked the throttle cables all seemed ok. Took it on the freeway and noticed very bad acceleration, though the car would stay at speed without my foot on the gas. Could this be egr sensor or oxg. sensor? Tried to check the vacume lines as best I could does'nt seem to be anything wrong there? Help, any ideas?

Id say its a vacuum leak. When he put it back together did he replace the plenum gaskets? Can you hear any hissing sounds coming from around the top of the engine? Could also be the TB gasket or the EGR gasket.

I agree with Kooter, it does sound like a vac. leak, be it from a line or from a gasket mating surface.

spray around the engine with carb cleaner or wd-40. you'll know when you find it
