Hey guys I need some help. I'm working on a ERTL Racing Champions Camaro for my cousin's birthday present because he's obsessed with Camaros and I want to take of the cowl of the hood so I could raise the carberator (sp?) through the hood. Now I've tried many things like sawing it off, Cutting it off and I tried melting it off but.. it didnt work very well.. I'll post pics of it after church but I was just wondering if anyone could help me right off the bat..
EDIT: Actually I had a little time on my hands so here are the pics..
This is the birds-eye view of the hood and the cowl.

I think its possible.
When you look to the bottom of the hood you see two round things.
You must dril them carefully away with a drilling machine and then the cowl will come of.
Good luck with it and show us more pics when car is finished.

Drill out the "rivets" and putty it up. Not that hard. Its just like taking apart hot wheels.

Well.. Change of plans.. I'm still taking the cowl off but now I'm gonna have to paint it like the General Lee. (From Dukes of Hazzard) I love that show and that car so painting a Camaro like the General Lee Charger dishonors DOH. I told my uncle that its suposed to be a Charger but he said that my cousin wouldn't know the difference. Plus he said my cousin would probally make up some plot on how the Duke boys got a Camaro. I was kinda frustrated because I had already planned out the paint job... But I guess I can do a Gen. Lee. If anyone has any tips they would be glady welcomed.

Haha I guess I could come up with something.. I wonder if I could make a whole epsiode and film it with my sisters camera.. That would be sweet
EDIT: I got it off!! It took so long because my Dremel battery died half way through so I had to recharge it. I'm waiting for the putty to dry right now.
