Sounds like the VTiR range of Civics and 'tegs might be pretty much par for the course.
I wouldn't like to bet either way I don't think, too many variables :)
Yes....too hard to know.......
I raced an older MX6 sporty shape last week, and I was pulling away about half a car length on 1st, and he gave up on 2nd.

Yeah, old MX5s go down to the SiR as do NA rotisseries (oops, rotaries :p ). I can outrun most NA 4s 2liters and less, someof 6s (including commodes and falcs) and a very few 8s. Turbo'd cars are an issue as they usually have 40bhp minimum over me (although I stayed on the door handles of a sileighty to 110km/h) and most real 8s can own me. ;)

Its funny last week their was a grey vtir, and I lost him real bad at the Maccano set, cause I passed him a few kms back, and noticed, he was trying to catch up. At Yagoona, noticed he dropped gear, and trying to show off did a bit of zig zagging, so I did the same in the left lane, and lost him, never to be seen again....
He was a pretty crap driver! Don't think he could deal with the fact I was a girl driving...and driving better than him :p

heheh - well you are pretty good behind the wheel :) That'd piss a lot of guys of - after they got over the fact that you were driving a manual ;)
The VTiRs need to drop back a cog to get on cam usually - the B16A just doesn't have the torque the 'tegs do and that makes it harder to come on full song. heheh - I used to outrun a lot of cars in traffic with my gold 1G... but it was so small and the steering was so precise you could put it into most spots easily :)

:D HAHA....
yes, I notice if my sister and I are going somewhere, and just overtaking on the freeway and stuff, the teg, can instantly put on the speed, whereas the civic is more gradual. My sisters 1st G civic was very cool!, steering was heavy when parking but precise when driving....It was also funny bouncing up the street, because the springs were cut on it....the old fashioned style or lowering :p

heheh - likewise my dark blue 1G. Angle grinder plus springs = 3 inch drop = sore back plus an ability to make running over a toothpic feel like you are slamming over a treetrunk :D

We used to count the 34 bumps over our local bridge in windang :p
there is a pic of it in my photoalbum.

heheh... saw it yesterday :) Try the bridge at Yarramundi - it's floating wood and you could feel every bump in it. Last night I saw it had changed since last I was there - it was raised and one lane only, but still very bumpy. I think one or two of the cars came close to having issues with it - I certainly think your 'teg would have :D

why...cause of height...or just bounce? :p

height for sure - steep on ramps onto the bridge - I have a feeling your nosecone would have caught. Most of the cars wern't as low as yours :)

Oh...ok....I would have had to reverse and go home :p
Steve's car is quite low at the front....although it could have been the slight slope in our front yard that makes it look lower.
I'm waiting for the spanners, so I can adjust the coilovers if needed.
Wasn't happy Jan last weekend, when it scraped on a corner down at Moss Vale....had no where to go though, cause there was a huge dip on that road

Ouch! I used to scrape my exhaust going into the driveway at work - If you look at the front crossmember of the SiR you will see dings and scratches on it from when it was dropped low - it was just shocking :(
If I can drop it another cm or so I'll be happy until I get bigger rims. Then I'll do the coilover drop. For the meantime I'll fit the bigger rear bar and get the coils heated and dropped a tiny bit.

Steve scrapes his exhaust on his driveway too.
Bigger rims  but they are sooo huge already :p
