Location of Airbag light

Got a pretty mundane question for you.... can anyone describe EXACTLY where the airbag warning light is located?
Is it in the instrument cluster? And, if so, where exactly? (LH or RH side, top or bottom)
This all sounds strange, but I have just bought a fullt-optioned '96 Camry V6 that has a steering column with "SRS" on it, and all you folks (and the manual) talk about the light coming on and then going out after the ignition is started. Nothing happens on mine and not even the original manual shows where to look for the light.
Can someone put me out of my misery?
