Would not start

On my 93 deville I went to start it after driving into town and it would not start not even grind over like there was no battery in it at all but I had lights and full power. I called a tow truck to have it towed home at a 65.00 charge after a 2 hour wait he arrived and got in the car to check it out and picked up a crow bar and tapped on the starter while I tried to turn it over but nothing then he got a screw driver out and crawled under the car and had me try it again then it started !!! now he told me that it could be the starter or the computer chip on the key, it now sits at the repair shop awaitng a diagnosis and yes when I got it there it would not start again. Is this the starter do you think. KC

It's possible! My '94 Deville did that, just would not start one day. I changed the starter myself, and it has started every time since.

Thanks for the input I just picked up the car and it was the starter, was not to bad on the bill cost me $165.00 for new starter rebuilt and put on. KC:)
