towing S10 2x2 4 down

Has anyone towed 1999 s10 2x2 4 down ? Owners manual says that it can not be done but when I call local chvy dealer they say ok.

I don't really understand what your asking.

If it's can I tow a 2wd s-10 with all 4 wheels on the ground the answer is yes. But you must remove the drive shaft because even the standard transmission has an oil pump that only works when the truck is running

ok here it is, you dont have to remove the drive shaft, there is something that needs done to the vehical, as a tow behind option, im honestly not sure what they do, i think its a dissengagement for the drive shaft, but why towe it with 4 on the groung??? spend the extra money and tow with the front two up and save the mileage from being put on the truck, i mean its not o fraud, you arent driving it, but you will be claiming the miles as though you are
