Hey guys i got an irritating problem.

Well, lets start with how i think it happend.

I drove from Mass. to Florida and while in the N.Y. traffic my car started stalling and sputtering.

I got it going, and in N.J. pulled over and checked out the fluids and stuff. Was ok, i just had an oil change, new belt, and trannny fluids done.

But, the check engine light was on, and it never had been on before. It stayed on until i got off the highway, in Florida.

Ever sinse then if i dont put 93 octane in the car pings.

Thats the only problem i have ever had with it, except the rotors keep warping....

Any help would be appreciated.

The car just hit 60k miles, but has been doing this for 10k miles.

You need to go to AutoZone or another large parts store and have your diagnostic trouble codes read. Let us know what codes have been set and we can work from there.

Ok, but do those kids know how to do that?

I will post back later this week, thanks

...uh, yes, they know how to do that. It certainly isn't difficult.

I mean, if you want, you can go into the dealer and have them do it for $50 or $75.

They dont do work on cars per say. They hook it up to a scanner, tell you the codes, and you go from there. Thats about it. Its a nice free service so we dont have to buy scanners.
