92 Metro Conv. Code 23

Can someone please tell me what a code 23 relates to. It's on a 92 Metro Conv, 1.0, 5 spd. Thanks

A DTC 23 means that your car's computer thinks that the outdoor temperature is -54 degrees below zero and since you are in the southern U.S. I doubt that's the case. :grinno:
Seriously, DTC23 means that your Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IAT) is seeing a high voltage input (sensor or wiring is shorted to +5 volts). The sensor is located on the lower portion of your air filter casing, facing towards the firewall.
Using a multimeter set to measure resistance (ohms), place the leads across your IAT sensor. Your reading should be somewhere between 2k and 4k ohms, it should definately not be shorted...Good luck!
