Hey guys, im new to the forum and i could really use some help on my new 1992 Eclipse GSX that i bought about a month ago. I just purchased a new Team Rip Engineering transmission and also am looking for a new clutch. I have narrowed it down to the 2600 ACT Clutch kit or the 2900. I dont know which to get, i am planning to put alot of mods into my car which later on the 2600 might not be able to handle the raised power. If i got the 2900 and didnt have that power, around 300 to 400 horse power it is normally used for according to dsmparts.com, would it slow down my car or anything, or would it work normally?

The higher pressure could put a higher load on the thrust bearing, which I Wouldnt want if it wasnt necessary. But some poeple say that the fulcrum is moved a bit actually lowering pedal pressure. I havent verified this myself (but I'll be running a 2900 later this year), but if thats the case you might as well do the 2900 now. It takes a lot of torque to make a 2600 slip though. I've had some issues with them, but most were due to external problems. On my 11.3 at 126 mph run it help great, even after slipping it a lot on the launch. I would only consider the 2900 for over 500 whp, and most poeple take the 26 well beyond that. The weight of the car also comes into play as well though, but this will turn into a novel if I let it continue ;)
