I have a 2000 Intrigue with the stock CD/Tape player. I have heard rumors that it has changer controls. Does this deck have inputs of any kind.

No, it doesn't have any inputs. The only plugs are the wiring harness that connects it to the speakers and the power inputs and another input for the antenna.

Mine is a 2000 GLS Stering Edition. She came with the Bose stereo that does include a 12-disc CD changer as stock. The changer is located in the trunk, and all the controls are from the dash unit. However, I'm not sure how the audio signals get back to the head unit. Some said the changer transmits the signals by using an FM frequency, and when the stereo is playing back from the CD changer it's actually working on FM receiving mode at that particular frequency. The antenna for radio is embedded into the rear window, pretty close to the changer location.

Most GM radios have teh CD-changer inputs.
The older units, pre-2000, use teh E&C bus to communicate with the CD-changer and have L+R inputs from the changer.
The newer models, post-2000, use the Class 2 bus to communicate with the changer.
You must have the corect CD-changer in order for it to work.
