99 GXI Estate remote locking problems

I've just bought a 626 estate and am experiencing problems with the central locking/alarm system. The alarm (horn and hazards) go of intermittently for no apparent reason. This can happen 2 or 3 times within an hour then not happen again for several days. Has anyone else had this or heard of this problem. cheers
