Easy way to pimp ur gp.

Just in case some of u didnt know this trick i thought i would fill u in on it. if u want ur fog lights on without ur headlights being on, just turn ur headlight switch so that its between Parking and Headlighs on. makes a Gp with headlight covers look even better. oh also putting silver grilles in the front helps out too.

thats really ghetto if you ask me!!!! why dont you just go to your fuse box and pullout your DRL or daytime running light fuse and not have to be Ghetto fab anymore!!!

I think I'm just going to end up making my own grill inserts, cause I cant find them anywhere. Found a few on ebay, but they are going for like $80

i know in minnesota it is against the law to have a non functional saftey feature... such has daytime running lights.

now thats what the law says, would a cop actually pull you over for it?

not necessarily pull you over for that. but i know of a few that will add it on if you act like a dick to em when they get you for something else.

Nope.....they will still work the same.

That sounds like a lot of hassle to me. using the knob is so much easier. i guess i'm just lazy and u guys want to be all technical. grilles inserts on ebay for 12.99 buy it now. not $80... why pay that much cheap ones look just as good.

Remember, you get what you pay for and if you feel cheaper is the way to go, you'd be better off going to Home Depot and picking up some chicken wire or gutter guard.

Using the knob sounds like a good way to get a bunch of arcing going on in the switch and creating a lot more hassle than unplugging a connector. If unplugging a connector (a no-tools 3 minute mod) is your idea of a hassle I don't want to buy a used car from you! I bet preventative maintenance is really high on your hassle list too! :grinno:

ya but after you pull the plug, you dont have to have any lights on! no fog lights either

any check and see if this disables the lights to go on and off when enable/disabling the stock alarm?

because I found another "How-to" to get the rear lights to go off just like the fronts do, and I think that sounds pretty cool...but they talk about the DRL circuit

Just to let you know, my 01 SE turns the fogs on when you turn the switch to the parking lights. Don't know if mine is the only one. My old neon never did, fogs wouldnt go on unless you had headlights on.

From the way he/she talks, I have a feeling that they just bought the high-end model so they would have a fast car without having to do any work on it. Too bad I could modify my SE to be faster than his GTP. They call that SLEEPER. Look into it rairaigh. I may be female, but I have a hunch that I know how to work on cars more than you.

Sounds to me that this guy has a small one and is trying to make up for it with his car.
I have to give it to Nicole. Sounds like she works on her own car. And more then likely runs better then his.
I hope that he runs into a couple of cars from this fourm. I have a feeling that he won't think his car is too fast any more.

If his biggest concern in life is how to pimp his car, I think it is a compensation for some other areas that he may be lacking in. If he wants to "pimp" he needs to trade for a rice burner so he can get that great tin can exhaust! He doesn't list an occupation so he is probably still getting an allowance! :grinno:

I am not sure if you know exactly why he was banned. If you don't know the whole situation then please don't stick your nose in. And so you know, yes I do take the issue of vehicles seriously. And I am sure there are a lot of other people on here that also do. Some people are into computers, some their job, but others like myself are into cars. You disrespect a car, and I take it seriously. So, I am sorry if you don't like it that we take our cars so seriosly. But they take me where I need to go and I need to make sure they are running properly to keep myself and my kids safe. There is a very serious reason as to why I am like that, but I won't get into it. So, that's my feelings. I guess we know where you stand.

Me to, I found this tread interestingly funny but was very confused as well.
I love this form and don't mean to be critical but is there a way to control the thread with out removing posts.

i dont really care if you take your car seriuosly or not and i dont think anyone else does eigther. and yes i do know the situation because i am friends with the person. and i saw every thing that he wrote and the ones that others wrote to him. other people started the probblem and then u jumped in to make it worse (risingernicole), and others. it never started out a problem he was simply letting people know something that he found out and people were bashing him. as my understanding when i signed up for this sight it said no bashing!!!!!!!!!! but he got verbally bashed right away,for making a statement. i guess alot of u work on your bashing instead of working on car. i think that this sight is very nice for those who need a little advice and tips but i guess no matter where you go there will always be some people who are stuck in a 3rd grade state of mind and like to bash. i am not directing this to everyone only to those that are acting childish.

Sorry, but I don't enjoy being called a sackless SE driver. That is what my problem was. But since you know him, you should also know that. How bout we just drop this crap and get on with our lives. NO he wasnt getting bashed for something he found out he was getting bashed for what he said later on in the threat (making fun of a girl and the car shes driving) So i guess you didnt see everything he wrote so please just back off

I am closing this thread since it seems to be getting out of hand. One of the ideals of AF is to allow everyone to voice their questions about cars and their automotive problems. When we start getting personal and flaming other members then it is time for it to stop. What someone thinks is funny another may take as offensive. Therefore, this thread has come to an abrupt close.
