2000 GLE Starter

This morning when I went to start my car I had full power: Radio, windows, AC, ETC... but when I turned the car over all of the dash lights came on as usual.. but the car did not start. No clicking... just nothing but a "whrrring" sound. I rolled my car back about 2 inches so I could get to the hood in my garage and I tried to start the car again. This time it started.. Any ideas?
