Hey guys,
I finally picked up my new 91 MR2 na...
A guy swapped out the bad engine for another 91 na engine, she runs well, but I am having a fast idle...around 2100 RPM's...
Any idea's?
Thanks much for any help.

Update:
I found the cable for the throttle was somewhat off track and its now down to 1500 RPM's...Still too high though...
It seems to have very slow/sluggish response to throttle aplications until in gets up in the higher RPM's...(It has new plugs, wires & Cap & rotor)
Any idea's?

are you sure you adjusted the throttle cable to proper idle?...It makes sense that the guy that did the swap might have forgotten to adjust it.
U should have a friend rev the engine while you check and adjust it just to make sure before you blow abuncha money replace good parts.
hows the driveability?-I mean is it just fast idle or is it rough idle...Is there any other problems?

Thanks for the reply.
It runs fine/flawless at speed, but seem to have a sluggish/slow take off.
Yes, perhaps the cable can be adjusted more?
