W.I.P. '70 Impala--advice?

So here's some pics of the motor, haven't finished touching up the paint or anything yet, so excuse some of the bare patches. I'm really not digging the little velocity stacks right now, but I'd rather not dig through my parts bin for other kinds of filters... I would think they need to be painted, can someone suggest a proper colour scheme? I can't see the grilles being black, but maybe that's just me...

that's a thought... but I think if anything I want to reduce the total amount of chrome on the thing... I think maybe I should've painted the intake but oh well...
