I just got a 92 se and from what the guy told me the tank has a hole in it and you can only put half a tank of gas in it but i noticed as i was driveing it home that i was slowly loseing gas so i'm guessing i have another problem, But anyway how hard is it to remove the tank on that year and are there any problems i may incounter while replaceing the tank?

It's stinky, but not too difficult.

Drain the fuel as much as possible
Raise and support rear of vehicle. You may want to remove the LR wheel for some additional room.
Place large piece of cardboard under tank to make it easier [and safer] to drag the tank out and to help contain drips.
Disconnect filler and vent lines and wire connection
Remove fuel line frame brackets that are close to the tank
Support tank with a floor jack and a piece of plywood that will fit between the tank straps (about 16" x 16" x 3/4")
Unbolt and remove tank straps.
Carefully lower tank

Getting it back in is slightly more difficult. You might have to play with it a little to get it in the right spot.

Is rusted fuel lines something i will encounter? I dropped the tank on my 94 lumina sedan back in august and the lines going to the tank were rubber so please tell me its the same on the bonneville.

My 93 has nylon fuel lines and my 90 has steel so I'm assuming that GM changed the lines during the body change in 92. I'm not too sure what the sending unit looks like though. I'm sure that the lines coming out of the tank are steel for a short distance.

Lets hope that they [GM] learned from experience and used some corrosion protection on those.
