Depends on if you put the motor in or have someone else do it. Go to www.cjee.com, or do a search on yahoo or something for JDM Motors and you'll find some more sites that sell these motors. ALSO watch related links at the bottom of the page, there should be one or two links for motors b/c of the subject pop up sooner or later.

Cool, are you going to rebulid the motor completly or just the basics? seals, ect. As far as wiring, i am about to learn a little about that myself in my swap but so far i have put together a book about 150 pgs long of differ stuff i have found on the internet and stuff posted here too to help me along the way, but i am just doing a sohc swap but i don't think there is too much difference in the wiring, but i don't have to get differ mounts for the motor and what not though.

complete overhal, i have a s dime that im slowly makeing into a street rod, and i have an 89 dx as my "winter beater", my summer job is landscaping, so i make enough to do both (i hope), by the end of the summer im hopeing for a total overhal, not just seals, but pistons, rings, cam everything, the truck will be fast, but only because it has to be, i mean cant have a street truck without the chevy 350 in it now can i

what about a 454 now that would get a truck movin pretty good w/ the right rear end and tranny. the 350 has real good low end torque though so you can get off a line pretty quick but i rode in a truck w/ a 454 in it and man that thing was insane fast, he had the hurst setup with the tranny and shifer and a custom 4spd tranny and that thing would get down the track in the 8's but he had nos too, it was strictly track though was'nt street leagal. It could get the front tires off the ground.

just to clarify, s dime means an s 10, you do the engeneering and fabracation, not to mention suspention and fram strengthening needed for a 454 and sure why not, lol not a chance in hell it would happen... a 350 with all preformence parts will get the little thing moven nicely... there were some years (i think the ones your refurring to) the 350 was made for power and not speed, i need to mesh it in the middle, somewhere along the old nova lines lol

My bad, i thought we were taking full size. I have seen an S-10 w/ a 350 in it. I do know you have to get a bigger rad. or you'll run a little too hot

nah, electric fans and a preformence aluminum rad and itll be fine... here (western michigan) there are a few, but they are all sleeper trucks, you look at it and it looks stock 4x4 or stock 2wd, screw that, thats going to be the car, car=sleeper, truck=chicks and showen guys with camaros and thos little forign things up lol

As long as you got something aftermarket to help cool. It's dosn't real hot w/ the stock rad but it does a little, and if the coolant gets even a little low you'd know it buy looking at your temp.

i have even heard of people tapping an intercooler into their coolant sys to help but i have never seen it my self. It would be cool looking though to see an intercooler in the mouth of the s-10
maybe we should go to the s-10 forum. LOL but as far as the car goes there are people here that know all about the wiring and tear down that can help. I feel alot better about tackling this project on my car on my own with all the knowledge that is here to help.

my cousins done the 350 s 10, he said the way he did it was rad in the reare (bed) of the truck, he used a massive radiator due to no fresh air circulation, and he alwase ran hot because of it, he says take the pain in the ass of doin it up front, its a little more $$ but its worth it to not warp the head

just to let you know to be a sleeper its alot cheaper than having a full out racer. You deal with speed and not with looks. Its alot easier than getting a bodykit and all. My car would be the perfect sleeper if i wanted to put the money into it. Oh and for the truck all i have to say is FUCK CHEVY! lol jk i just dont like chevy.

i wish i could help w/ that but i have never rebuilt a 4cyl so i have know idea on prices or even where to start. I have rebuilt a couple of v8's and a few 6's but that was for someone else and i didn't get the parts for them they brought them to me so i don't even know. I's look for a rebuilt kit though, you usually come out alot better in price, but check you cyl walls first and make sure you don't have to bore at all before you get a kit

...FUCK CHEVY! lol jk i just dont like chevy.
how on earth did i know someone would say that lol... yeah, the car is getting fiberglassed, sheet metal, and painted in the spring, just a nice clean look, no body kit, no purge kits, not even altezz tail lights, 100% stock with the hood closed and possibly a system, gotta have that thump

12's sound great in a CRX, i have 10's installed in mine now, i have the new 12's to go in but the only reason i got them is cause a friend of mine had some and it's a big difference. That back glass is great for sound to bounce off of. I set up my sys my self, i have a total of 14 speakers in the CRX w/ about 1000watts between 2 amps and it rocks!! i love it!
