Oil pressure switch?

I would like to start by saying sorry if another post exists, I searched nothing came up... ok recently I had my alternater die in my 92 blazer, I installed a new one and everything was fine. then a week later, it started leaking oil very rapidly. it seems to me it only leaks when the truck is turned on. I wanted to know if this could be the oil pressure switch, or any other possible things it could be. and if the oil pressure switch is bad, how hard could it be to install a new one. I know how to do a few simple things like brakes and change oil and alternator. thanks for your replies

it is leaking from the rear part of the engine, i even took the casing off so i could get a better look, but i talked to a mechanic, and he said he didnt think it was the rear seal. but in all honesty it is leaking from the rear middle aread, right before the exhaust pipes form

ps, might I remind you it is leaking only when the car is on

Be more specific and get under there and look for where it is coming from and not just a general idea.

Probably coming from the remote oil lines where they attach to the block.

The oil pressure switch is on top of the motor next to the distributor. Either one could leak and run down the back of engine. But like BlazerLT said, the cooler lines are the most common. Remove front shield under engine for a better look.

I will look at it some more, i already removed that shield, i had to leave my car at school, I am going back today, so I will be able to look when I get back. I dont know the names of any of the parts underneath, but I will try to describe it to the best of my knowledge

Where the oil lines go to the engine block from the filter.
