Ok i am wondering about this gold colored round plate with holes all in it. is it supposed to be on a manual or is this just something for just an automatic, cause my motor didn't come w/ a flywheel, and i beleive the motor was actually in an automatic car. So if it is supposed to stay let me know and what does it do? I was thinking it was something possibly for a torque converter, but i am not sure what to think. Thanks For the help Scott

You put it in your signature not your avatar. The avatar is the pic under your username and joined date (like the muffler under 1PhatCX's name), the signature is what is posted under your posts (like those smilies you've got there now).

Hey scott, It is a flexplate! The torque converter in an automatic car bolts onto it. Throw it away, you wont be needing it!

oh and BTW scott, dont use the auto flexplate bolts for the flywheel. They are too short. Plus the say "AT"---automatic transmission-- on them!

For future reference about the pic thing. Below each of your posts are links that say "PM", "ADD BUDDY", and "GALLERY". Click on the gallery one, log in (for some reason it doesn't sign you in automatically), then click the "Upload Photos" link at the top right of the page. I just skip the hassle and singed up at www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com), completely free and you can put up pretty big files. Sorry I should have let you know how in my first response to this thread.
