Sick, dude....sick...that's EXACTLY the same look I was going for when I get my VR4...I want those rims, that wing, and those corners...and now that you've done it, I know i'll be happy. No I dont think ur BOV is supposed to do that. BTW I hate you cuz you have warmth and sun, and i have grey clouds and salt and snow.

wow...well I guess just mark that up as kill #1 for the open-loop BOV. I got kinda annoyed that my strut bar had ripped the heat shielding in a few small places, but that is just ridiculous.

Very nice pics though....I really have to get mine developed...I just have to use up the rest of my film, but I'm trying to save the last bit for pictures of my oil cooler repair...so they wont be up until sometime in a week and a half.

Well if you mean is it normal for a BOV to rip that apart...I have never seen it, but I guess its logical, it is releasing highly pressurized air at times.

I'd leave it in, or you run the risk of maybe damaging the paint on the bottom of your hood (from heat)....I think I read about someone here or somewhere else doing that a few years back...

No offense, but this is just another reason why I'm not fond of open-loop BOVs.

I would say try and reposition it, but I don't know if that would/could cause damage to something else. I'd start a new thread and try and get the attention of the other guys with open-loop BOVs and get thier opinions/experiences.
