help!

i just had my head and head gaskets replaced in my 89 galant GS. the car drove perfect for a few hours. now, it stalss when i stop unless i keep my foot on the gas and brake, and there is no p ower. i can have the pedal pushed to the floor, and it takes forever for it to pick up speed. does anyone have any idea whats going on?!?!?
