Noise when turning?

And this weeks problem is...
Just today I started to hear a noise whenever I turn, louder when I take right turns usually.
It sounds like normal road noise, like when you're going down the highway, except its like 30 times louder, and when I'm only going like 5-10mph..What do we think the problem is?

it depends on the noise but from what you say maybe the cv/ball joint.

Agreed or it can be a wheel bearing. CV is more common though

year/make/model. and it is a screeching, metal-to-metal type sound? or a clunk, thud, bang or.....?

check the rotor on the side the noise is coming from and make sure it isn't warped. the cv joint wouldn't make that noise. it would make a clicking noise while turning. but check the rotor and the pad too. my brothers car is making that same noise on his car and it's not the cv joint, and i saw what looked like the rotor is warped and the brake pad is scratching the rotor.

by the way this is an 89 SI
I really cant pinpoint the direction the noise is coming from, which makes the problem even more annoying, and harder to figure out..
again it seems to be louder when taking right turns, but the car doesnt slow down. I easily did 2 complete turns coasting in neutral, so that leads me to believe its not a warped rotor scrubbing.
...after much thinking.. It sounds like a bowling ball going down an alley, the sound of it rolling. That is my best way to describe it :screwy:

it sounds like a bearing...I had the same problem the sound was like the one when you are driving in concrete highways.

im pretty sure its the wheel bearing. its relatively cheap to get them repacked.

Has to be the bearings.....if it was the cv axle you would know it without a doubt.
