When I first saw the title of title of this thread and then the ebay link, I was honestly thinking it was going to be another lame attempt at someone trying to sell something at a crazy price - "This shift knob has won EVERY race and will guarantee victory for you as well!" Lol.
Back on topic, that is the luckiest person I believe I have seen and will probably ever see. That picture at the bottom that shows the car in between the two 18 wheelers sent chills down my back.

Thats a good lesson to anyone with a high performance car. Yeah you can drive and handle your car great but, you can never anticipate the actions of dumbass drivers on the highway with you. Remember that guys be careful

damn that dude is real lucky. that WRX is completely wiped out. just goes to show ya, even if you're the best driver in the world, you can never take driving for granted. there's always some dumb shit out there who got his/her license from a cereal box. and you always have to be alert and prepared for anything.

I know that this is a really old thread but I was on Ebaums World and found the actual news clip about the whole thing. Unfortunetly you can't see the shift knob anymore through the ebay link but for those of you who remember this as I do this is kind of cool. I'm going to ask the seller how much he got for it.

Since ya can't see the ebay link anymore, some of you have no idea what this thread is about besides a guy surviving a crazy car accident as you can see from the link to ebaums. The guys shift knob was the only other thing besides himself to not get hurt in the accident, when he went to the junk yard he saw the shift knob standing proud so he took it as a souvenier but is "now" selling it on ebay.

Wow, I live in York too. I have never heard about this. Deffinatly one messed up situation. I think I would have gotten out of the car and bitch slapped the driver who rear-ended me though.
