I just bought a 4x4 2003 Midnight Blue - 2-Door Extended Cab - Stepside... but can't figure out what it's proper model name is. It's the 4.0 - 6 cyc., manual 5 speed, no frills except a nice CD player, alloy wheels and alarm. It doesn't have carpet, no slider in the back window, no running boards, no jumper seats, totally manual locks and windows. But it sure looks hot! I've been looking through sites that show models and prices but none seem to fit what I have. Anyone know? Also does anyone know about putting jump seats in a Ranger that came factory w/out them? Thanks...any info is appreciated.

It should be on the title or registration. It's probably just a Ranger. Lol, what did you tell your insurance company that you had? If you just gave them the VIN, you could probably find out from them.
Hmm, I don't know much about the newer trucks. I imagine you just find the seats, unbolt the old ones, and bolt in the new ones back in.. I imagine it isn't too brain busting. That's just something you look how it comes out, then put back in. If the bolt holes don't line up, then you're going to need to drill and fill.
You know, I see people with these new cars with alarms. I just don't get it. If you grew up where I did, you would know it's worthless. Stock stereo equipment has no street value. It doesn't fit in anything except a model like it. If it gets stolen, insurance pays anyway.
Or how about this one.. I had a system that got stolen. I left my doors unlocked. 3 other people's cars got their windows busted out and got robbed. If I had locked my doors, they would have broken my windows and taken my shit anyway... I would have had to replace the windows, while replacing the system. I really need to move...

Thanks for the input...The Vin# probably can identify it for me. The reason I asked about the jump seats is because there aren't any there now...or ever. They didn't come stock so I wanted to know if I could put them in...? And your so right about the alarm...the stereo...and the windows! Thanks again.

there are about 6 bolts on floor in each corner. you should have these from factory. look under rubber flooring to see if you have them

Thanks for the responses...I found out it is infact an XLT but with out the standard options. The dealership ordered it basic...seeing as it came from a farming community that makes sense! Thanks again...Lisa
