02 Civic Tail lights

Hey ppl I just bought an 02 civic 4dr LX and decided to give it a lil bit of detail. so I bought some euro's for it. However, when I went to put them on I can't get the oem tail lights off the actual car. I got the ones that go on the truck lid. However I'm reluctant to pry too much in fear of breaking or scratching up my new ride. Any tips? I had all the bolts off and there was a lil plastic clip thing that I thought was holding me up. I took care of that, but still it's like somethings holdn me up? Any help will be appreciated

you can you something light like a small hammer, and hit the stick which was holding the screw from th back. do this lightly and to all the screws and it should beginto come off.

did you manage to remove the tail lights. I have an 01 civic and i was trying to replace my busted tail light and i have removed all 3 screws but its still jammed, almost like its attached to the bumper.
