I recently purchased a 98 malibu. After having it for 1-2 months i kept having problems with it overheating. Finally after replacing a water pump and "head Gaskets", the car is loosing "pep". 1 week after getting the gaskets, the car started making a "popping" noise. I noticed the motor was moving or jumping after braking and then pressing on the gas.The shop said there was no problem with the transmission or motor mount. (i went to 3 different shops) I had this shop to "flush" the transmission. That's when the stalling problem started. I took it to the shop they said they could not tell the difference and they were not getting any codes. now 1 week later it is stalling worse. I think i may need fluid. There is no dip stick to check it. By the way I am a girl/ unemployed college student and this car has exhausted my savings. I am in a city where i know no one and i'm being charged 300+ just to have someone to look @ my transmission. Somebody help please!!!!!!

have someone do a check on your fuel pump. It seems like you arenot getting full fuel pressure. Turn your car off, then turn the key to the on position and listen for a "whirrin" sound - that's your fuel pump.

Get full coverage on it then take a match to it!

Nevermind. It's only worth about $1,000.00
