I'm thinking about going audi and i wanted a S4 but the prices aren't right for me, So i'm going to settle on the a6 2.7 2001. Now i keep hearing about problems they have, So help me out. I'm thinking about chipping it out apr on 93oct so i'm running like 318hp. my only question is tip or 6speed, can i take a stock or closely stock 350z. And what cars would still give me some work. I'm lookin for a car that has both power and style.

I would of course tell you to buy the Audi. But I guess I am biased since I used to own an Audi. But unless you want to get a car that you can race, then get the Z. But overall, the Audi would be better.

Thanks for the advise but i was just using the 350z as an a sample. 350Z is quick, and i know a 318hp a6 should be quicker, i just wanted to know if i chip it, what cars will still give me a mach, like can i bet a stock srt-4 or a s2000, I think the A6 Has is the best of both worlds, Power handling Style Grace and Comfortbilty. All and all i wanna know who can i bet with a chipped A6

If the only mod you want to make on it is a chip, then you could beat most stock cars that have similar performance. You could beat any Jaguar S-Type (not an S-Type R, though). The A6 with the V6 is good at acceleration. But you wont be beating any S2000's or SRT-4's in an A6. Those cars have a better power-to-wieght ratio. A chipped A6 will be good none the less.

I know this is an old post, but i need to throw my 2 cents in. I used to own a 2001 A6 2.7T and i work DAILY on 350Z's. I would NEVER EVER buy a 350Z over a A6 2.7T. I dont know where you're getting your info though the A6 DOES NOT have 318HP, it is rated at 250HP at 5800RPM and the chip brings it to 340HP. The car is a tank, i no longer have it because i was hit by 2 SUVs during a snow storm. It is a very comfortable Luxury sedan. It is .1 second slower in the quarter mile over an S4 as it IS pretty much the same car. Suspension is slightly different and slightly heavier due to it's size difference. The 350Z is built of plastic and comes apart like a child's toy and is NOWHERE comparable to an A6. I truely hope you choose the A6 over the 350Z

think about this. a6 is made to be a step up of the a4 and lower to a8. so it is made to be sport and luxury in one. nissian is american shit. sorry america but you fuked up. true cars were back in the 60's-70's. but you can get a s4 for a good price, but that price can get problem car. if you can find a good owner then your fine. oh also mainly a6 came in trip. manual is hard.
so s4 you can get for 15 grand with 80,000 miles.

I think you're a little lost buddy, while i agree with you about Nissan being sht, you do realize Nissan is Japanese right? Not American.
