Overhead display going going GONE

Not 100% sure what their called, but I'm taking about the overhead display that can show, temp, direction etc
Slowly it began to fade. IT continued to fade out until it didnt light up anymore. Definitly not a fuse because it wouldn't of faded out like that.
I heard they are tired into the radio somehow? I dunno. Anyone have this happen to them? or any ideas what I need to buy to fix it?
