i know this forum is for 99 and newer silverados, but that doesnt change the fact that i have a 98,the ride on my ext. cab 1500 is smooth and cadillac like, but she rides low,is there any cheap way to raise her up a few inches without losing the cornering and smooth ride this truck provides? any advice is appreciated, thanks, bump, out...

I put the torsion keys in the front of mine And i got two inches out of it and rides great still. Here is the forum that I used to do mine. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=2739080#post2739080

As an update, I finally got my Add-a-leaf in last weekend. Took a few hours but I work slow. Really wasn't difficult at all. Forgot to measure rear height before installation, but between the cranked Ford torsion keys in front, the Add-a-leaf in back, and a set of new tires, I'm setting about 2 inches higher than when I started. Which is exactly what I was after. As far as ride and handling, I think it's better now actually. I was worried the Add-a-leaf would make for a harsh ride, but that was not the case. Very satisfied. Hope to post some updated pictures soon.
