I have got the roughest idle ever. It will start but it has very little power and is very rough throughout the rev range. I took it to a local mechanic, he quoted 750 for the CMFI unit to be replaced. Um, I have a TBI, thank you very much. New to this vehicle, and the help would be appreciated.
No Check Engine light, could it be an injector?
I guess everything else would throw a code?
Ran fine Sat, Sun morn real rough.

Pull and clean the EGR... Check ALL vac hoses for cracks/splits/dry rot...Look down the throttlebody, you will see 2 injectors... They should be spraying a fine cone...IF it's dripping or rough looking, replace the injectors. When was the last time a tune up was done? (any records from the previous owner) If you don't know, replace the cap/rotor/plugs/wires... In the dark run the motor, look for arcing on the coil... See how that works out for you.

It was the egr, very carboned up. I have the linear electronic one so it was about 170 to replace. Couldnt get it to work right after cleaned it. Thanks for the input.
