14b setup

i was thinking of doing a 14b setup, because i got one lyeing around in my garage, and another thats on the way but be for I buy the other one I need your oppinions on this.

Have any of you done this?

its a great cheap alternative with 500 awhp potential. go for it.

I don't think a single person on here has 14bs, I'd check 3si for specifics, as some members there are actually running them.

Yea, 3SI is the place to research TD05 setups.

the TD05 14B turbos will not bolt up directly to our manifolds. You will either have to purchase a TD05 kit which includes the exhaust manifold and O2 housing for over 2 grand, or you'll have to get lucky and find someone whose selling JPDC adapter plates which are hard to come by since they didnt make many of them.

I had 14b's, big power is deffinatly there when tuned right.

Adam vr4 has a 14b setup and hes running 11.10.
i know i cant run that casue all i got is the turbos, no supporting mods.i know there good turbos just need to know what i need to install them.

i also got a 1 gen dsm 13g and i might buy another one.

oppinions on what i should do?

well, the 14b conversion will be more expensive to do. If you do the 1st gen dsm 13g, those are td04 turbos in which you should be able to bolt them on to your stock turbine housing on your turbo (if the turbine wheel doesnt clear 100%, then you'll have to do some minor porting which shouldnt cost more than $50 for both housings at a local machine shop). The 13g upgrade would be much much cheaper but wouldnt yield you as much power.
