motor scam???

well i just got a call from a guy in florida about sellin me a motor with 56k on it for 450$ and 50$ for shiping
and he called me from a private number

sounds kinda fishy to me what do yall think

edit- he said the reason for sellin is he put a 4g63t in his 99 gs

for the 420 or the 4g63 non turbo?

he said i could send a instant money order and the motor would be shiped friday and should be here by late sunday or monday

he said hes been the only owner and he will pay for hafe of the shipping

MAny poeple hide their phone numbers. Which is fine. Just get his real number and address, well hopefully he gives you the real ones. But I do find it unlikely that he put a 4g63 in his RS. You would have to be fuckin high to even think about doing that in my humblest of opinions. Tough call.

I would pass. If you have to ask this many questions about a deal, there is probably a reason. Trust your judgement, and move on. ;)

try calling this place,i used them quite a few times for motors swaps for hondas.yes, i still do honda swaps for people!it does not hurt to give them a try.

that works. I always like to make expensive/risky purchases in person, even if it means a lot of driving.

so i could give them the money for the motor they would go pick it up and pay him and bring hte motor to me?

i have no clue what is s/n was all i know is he told me his name was david he never e-mailed me he just got my number off my profile i guess and called me fron a restricted number
