Can someone please tell me where to find this damned thing? My Haynes books devotes a couple of paragraphs to it then thoughtfully fails to describe or show where it is located. The Autozone scan says it's bad and I've been told I can clean it somehow (if I can find it).

I believe on the four cylinder it is just above the alternator. It should have two vaccum lines and two electrical connections going into it. One of the vaccum lines run to the EGR boost sensor that is mounted to the firewall. If your motor is a V-6 I think it is around the throttle body.

Thanks - Mine is the 6 cylinder and it apparently is located under the throttle body. So, I'll have to remove the TB to get at it. I guess that's okay, because I can clean that while it is off.
