Hey guys,
I got some great advice last time I posted regarding my EGR valve so I'm hoping to have the same results.
This morning when I cranked my truck the idle was incredibly rough. I immediately suspected the EGR. I went to get some gas and had almost NO power and a lot of "puttering" out of the tail pipe. So I come home, take off the EGR valve and clean it. It wasn't dirty. Get everything back together and I'm having the same result.
Symptoms are:
LOTS of white smoke coming out the back with a VERY heavy smell of fuel. A short test ride resulted in me using about a 1/4 tank of gas.
I checked my Throttle body and found it moist inside.
I'm not mechanically savy so any help will be appreciated. I have a feeling this is a bad one.

check the PVC valve. It's a little 1 way valve that goes on the valve cover, with a hose going up to the air filter assembly.
If you can hear a ball shacing around in there it's probably good. But still blow on it from both sides, it should seal one way but not the other

Well, I checked the PVC valve and it appears to be fine.
On a hunch of a blown head gasket, I also checked my radiator fluid levels. That also appeared to be fine.
I'm going to try to run the truck for a couple of mintues tonight to see if any other symptoms jump out. I did notice a damp spot under the exhaust on the ground that appeared to smell like fuel. But that could have been the fact that I had just generated 40,000 cubic ft of smoke that also smelled like fuel.
Any other ideas?

Does the oil smell like gas? If it does you shouldn't drive it.
Sounds like it could be a leaking CPI.

Yeah, with the gas smell, you could be dumping fuel... Drop about a cup of oil and see if it smells like gas..

I'll be sure to check those things guys. Appreciate the lead.
What would I be looking at as far as repair costs...hypothetically?
