I got a 95 gsx and i have just rebuild the engine and it is slower than it was before. I gave it a tune up not to long ago like 3 months before they rebuild it. Its slower. What kind of wires would be the best kind I have taylor wires right now. and also what spark plugs. Is there anyway I could clean out the turbo or do something to it so it can spool up faster?

chances are that you didnt gap your plugs right. pull em out and gap them to .28 that should help. most turbo dsm's are running ngk plugs and either ngk or OEM wires.

I had Taylor wires, the thickest ones. And it did hual ass before. I have been noticing that the radiator fan has not turned on that often. Its been two weeks that I have been driving the car and it has only turned on twice and that was only for like five seconds. The hose that goes to the radiator gets all huge almost blows up, but it hasnt. After racing a couple cars the engine gets hot at least a little butthe radiator fan still does not turn on. You think I should maybe connect it directly so it can be working all the time when I turn on my car.

What do your coolant temps look like?

Its normal. What I think that is not normal is the radiator fan. Cuz i have only seen it turn on twice. I dont know much about engines but after racing I know the car should be hot enough to turn on the fan.

A swollen rad hose and a fan not turning on lead me to belive you are running hot. The gauge sits right in the middle? Have you checked the *s with a logger.

He is asking:
Have you checked the Degrees with a logger (as in pocketlogger or tunerstien)?

Well I have no idea what that is but I guess I havent since I dont know what it is. What wires do you reccomend and do you think I should put the radiator fan direct to the battery or a switch?

A logger is an OBD-II communication tool. Stands for Onboard Diagnostic II. It is a way to communicate with the ECU of the car. The ECU will tell the logger what all of the sensors, etc are reading. On your car there are two coolant temp sensors. One that feeds the guage on the dash and a different one that feeds the ECU. LandoAWD is getting at the fact that the gauge on your dash may be fu#ked up and you are actually overheating but don't know it.

Hey, if your radiator hose is ballooning up, you need new hoses my friend. I recently had to change mine because it was ballooning up. Also, check your antifreeze/coolant levels. These small things may help...

Also note that the stock guage is useless. just about as useless as the stock boost guage. Everything between 140 and 240 was straight up on the 2g guage, and the same thing with the 1g, though that has only been to 210.
On a 2g, the ECU has control of the fans. You need to verify if the ECU is getting the proper signal from the temp sender in the water neck/tstat housing. The above mentioned logger is the easiest way. Some service manuals may provide a voltage test however, that anyone with a multimeter can do. Not sure though, I've had a logger for so long now Ive never had to do any testing with a meter on anything :)
Edit> And replace that coolant hose like yesterday. It will slit and leave you stranded at best, or cost you a motor at almost worst, or get coolant on the tires and kill you at most worstest. Do them all. The smaller turbo and TB lines are 3/8th. The heater lines are 5/8ths. I repleced all of mine one at a time, getting stranded each time. Dont be a dumbass like me, do them now. If that upper hose is porked, the others arent far behind.
