I need Cam ideas

I have a 1600cc motor out of a VW thing 1973 or 74 I think, in my sand rail. I have spun a bearing and I'm rebuilding it I don't think it has ever been rebuilt before. I would like to hop up the power a little bit. does any one have any ideas on a good high performance cam I could get. or any other hop up parts that would be easy or inexpensive I could add while I'm rebuilding this motor. thanks for any and all help.
