Hi
I am new to this forum, and i dont know a lot about cars, but from what I have read, there is a lot of useful advice on here.
Anyway
i have a peugoet 206GLX, 1360CC, registered in may 2000.
I pruchsed this a few months ago and everything has been fine, until today when the stereo wont work.
The stereo is the usual standard "audio 2040" with the 6 cd changer in the boot.
I was listening to the radio this morning, and whilst the engine was running, switched the stereo off by pressing the volume button on the front panel.
I now cant get the stereo to work at all. Pressing the button doesnt seem to work.
When the ignition is on, the red light around the volume button glows, so there is power there.
If I turn the ignition off, and then press the button, the disply lights up, but, the stereo doesnt work.
It is not asking me for my theft protection code,
Should I disconnect the battery and see if this clears it and then I can input my code?
or anything else I should do?
Thanks
bubb

Disconected the battery, reset the stereo with the code, and it works ok, for now.
