2nd gear problems

i had a problem before with my second gear not going in well but it seemed to work itself out just tonight i was driving down a local road in 2nd and it just straight popped out of gear and grinded the gears without me having control over it, i went to a parking lot to see if it was my fault and it wasnt so then i kept trying it to see if it was always happening and to see if there was a certain speed it was doing it but what i want to know is if i would have to replace the entire clutch, just fix my second gear or is it something that i can do without actually doing much and if anyone has had this problem thanks for the responses in advance

i took it to a dealer and they said i would have to replace the transmission does anyone know of any good junkyards where i can get a transmission under 600
