I Don't Quite Know How To Explain This Problem But Here It Goes. I Have A Bad Clunking Sound Maybe Someone Would Call It A Snapping Sound From The Drivers Side Front Of Car. 1998 Aurora. When You First Start Out It Makes That Sound Or Noise So To Speak.i Am Thinking It Is A Strut But It Rides Nice Over Any Bumps And Only Makes This Noise At Low Speed When First Starting Out. I Had Some Asshole Friend Of Mine In My Car A Few Weeks Back That Was All Drunk And Everything Who Decided To Put My Car In Park When I Was Going Down The Road At 45 Mph. The Car Stallled Right On The Spot But Started Right Up. And Only Started Haveing Problems A Few Weeks Later. Could This Be Related??? Should I Jack Car Up And Look For Something Specific??? Pllease Help!!!!

its possible that the issue is related, extreme pressure is directed at the transmission, motor, and axles, shocks, and all steering components under those conditions. I would say that the issue is probably not a broken strut, but more likely a cv joint (axle) that was damaged due to harsh treatment. Such severe treatment can not only damage worn parts but also new components with little to no wear on them.
