Hey everyone. I want to put shaved door handles on my fiero, so there would just be a small hidden button, or remote poppers. Some people are telling me there would be no way to cover the handle holes because nothing will stick to the fiero doors. Has anbody done this, or does anyone know of any products that do stick well to fiero doors, and can be sanded, and painted? thanks alot.

the doors are made of R-RIM, reinforced reaction injection molded urethane. use a filler that works with SMC and rigid plastic. i've used it before on a superbike. the one i bought was in a 24oz. tube and i used a blue cream hardener with it.

and for anyone that didn't know. the fiero body used 4 different types of composite plastics.
SMC (sheet molded compound) - hood, roof, rear upper 1/4 panels, decklid
R-RIM (reinforced reaction injection molded urethane) - fenders, doors, lower rear 1/4's(later changed to injection molded nylon)
RIM (reaction injection molded urethane) - front and rear fascias
TPO (thermoplastic olefin) - rocker panels
and the wing is 2 piece blow-molded nylon glued together.

go to a yard and get a trashed door skin cut a peace out of it tha exact size as the hole you want to fill then take the panel to a welding shop that does plastic welding if you can't find one call the local motor home shops if they dont have a guy on hand they know someone who does it. they use them a lot for the storage tanks on the motor homes. then hand sand, hand sand only
