Ok well I already posted and figured out that my clutch is slipping, now I see a lot of diff. products from clutch kits to just clutch disks I was looking at this http://www.clutchmasters.com/shop/?page=shop%2Fflypage&MakeID=89&FromYear=1996&MakeModelID=30944&AppID=2975 Now I am wondering is that good, do I need a new fly wheel as well? Or should I just replace the clutch disk?

Well lets say I did have break fluid or something between the fly wheel and clutch how could I go about checking this out? Also do I need to get a clutch kit or would a clutch disk just be fine?

you would have to take the tranny and clutch off to look....
i supose just a clutch disk would work but if ur gana go threw the trouably to take out ur tranny and put a clutch disk on i would go ahead and reaplace it all includeing the throw out barrins

So a clutch kit would be Ideal then, I mean basically replace everything but the fly wheel and have the fly wheel resurfaced maybe ?

Well I really would like to swap the 4g64 block with the 4g63T but that would cost to much money and I dont think my engine culd withstand a turbo because it has 102k on it... So I am going to do a series of miner things here is a list of what I have so far
RPW Header/Down Pipe
5zigen Cat Back Exhaust
Unorthodox Performance Pulleys
AEM True Time Cam Gear
Lineage Ground Wiring kit
weapon r secret weapon intake
Direct Hits Ignition System
Thats pretty much it... Not a huge amount of power so I dont need an expensive racing clutch but maybe if I could get something a little better than the OEM model that would be nice!
But I am just wondering is it necesary to replace more than the clutch it is slipping reallllllly bad right now

you dont need to put in a 4g63. just bolt a 4g63 head and turbo system onto your 4g64 block then you have a 2.4 liter stroker motor with turbo :evillol: a 4g64 is just a bored out 4g63.
btw spyders rock i wish they had made a 1g spyder

Resurfaced and stepped properly, the latter is very important. Clutch disc, pressure plate, and throwout bearing (note the spelling) should all be replaced while the tranny is out. Dont half ass it and end up pulling that thing twice ;)
