Timing Belt

my timing belt jumped on my way home from work....how do i get to it...i am familiar with small block v-8s but not the 2.2 4-cyl

We have a serpentine belt or a timing chain. I am going to assume its the belt. What year car is yours? Older 2.2 you need to use the idler pully as the tensioner. Newer 2.2 are equipet with a tensioner. Newer 2.2 98+ use the open end of a socket and put it into the hole and push down, you may need a breaker bar for leverage. If older 2.2 use an offset box wrench and use that. Re route like shown underneath hood.
