Do I call or give up?

Hmm, life would be dull without lady problems wouldn't it? :)

Well here's my latest issue with a female.

I meet this girl at a party a few weeks ago and we hit it off. She gives me her number and tells me to call her. It was a Saturday night. I follow the 3 day rule and call her Tuesday. She wasn't there so I left a voicemail. Next day she calls me and explains she was busy and didn't get my message till late. Says she will continue to be busy for the next two weeks because rehersals (she's a theater major) but she seemed interested and we said "we'll keep in touch". So I wait a week or so and call her on Monday to keep in touch. Chit chat yada yada she's busy the play's starting that week. I tell her i'd like to go and see it (score some points ;)), she likes the idea. I tell her I'll probably go Friday of that week and she says to call her around 6ish. So Friday rolls around and I call her around 6ish and she doesn't answer so I leave a voicemail (ugh). Now it's Tuesday and she never got back to me. The play is running this week and that also means she's still very busy. I don't want to keep getting her voicemail when I call. Also since she's so busy everytime I call I feel like I'm bothering her. Lose/Lose situation I guess... I figured I should just not call anymore and if she doesn't get back to me, so be it. :( However next Friday (not this one coming up) there's gonna be a party and i'm pretty sure she's coming to. The play will be done this week which means she's not going to be busy anymore after that. Should I call next week to see if she's coming to the party? Or do I just let it be and not call anymore and take another loss?

wait it out, if u call too much, she will get annoyed, if u left her a mess, its her turn to respond. when u see her at the party u will know what she thinks by reaction. sorry i was busy, good. no eye contact or she doesnt approach u, shes not interested. goodluck

When she pulled the "call me on friday" thing that was a test, and sorry to tell you, but I think you failed. She had fucked around with you up until that point, seeing if you had the balls to stand up to her and say it's bullshit that she's always too "busy". Since you never put your foot down, she kept pushing it and pulled the "you call me and maybe we'll do something." This was a test to see just how far you'd bend for her. In a case like this, as soon as she said that, you should've said the following: "How about, instead, I hang up this phone right now, and you can call me when you feel like doing something." This instantly would've blown her shorts off by turning the tables on her, and showing her that you won't be wipped by her. She thought she was in control with her little games, but as soon as you would've said that, she would've instantly realized that you saw through her test bullshit. She probably would've been left speachless, or played innocent. In that case, you would remain firm and say something to the extent of "Listen... I know you're playing fucking games with me. I'm not going to play games with you. If you're interested, we can do something. If not, then I'm not going to play games with you, and this relationship will end right now." You have to be firm and lay down the law - show them that you're not going to be manipulated by their test and games and shit. Hot chicks pull this shit on guys all the time, to see who has the balls to stand up to them. The problem is, about 90% of guys don't.

My advice would be to not call her at all until the party. At the party, go in confident, cocky, and mack on chicks without giving her a damn thought. If you do look at her, don't break eye contact. Wait for her to look away first. You must act confident and like her actions didn't affect your manliness. Flirt with other chicks, and it will activate her jealousy, and you may have a shot at getting her back. If it doesn't, move on instantly. Don't give her a second thought. You'll just be wasting your time.

I know what I told you sucks, but I think it's the truth man. Good luck - and remember, she has no bearing on you. If it's over, move on.

Dang it... I guess you're right. Although I do know for sure she is busy with the rehersal crap cause I know other people that are in the show and it's true everyone is busting their asses. But I'll just wait till the party and see what happens.

Pay to go the play, make sure she doesn't see you. When it finished, give her a buzz and start crapping on about how good she was and how much you enjoyed it etc. Bingo.

nah, just leave her alone. She hasn't forgot about you. Either she is going to call and apologize for being so busy, or else you don't have a chance.

I'll just wait till the next party... this girl being interested in me when I was at the party was the last thing I expected. She's a puerto rican from the Bronx :eek: and I'm just a white guy from Long Island. :D

You don't need to watch the whole play! Fucking hell. Just a video, or a rehersal or whatever. Or duck your head through the door and remember one or two points.

Then when you talk to her next, make SURE you are steering the conversation. Mention the bits you liked (the only 2 you know) and keep on charging!!

What other plays has she been in? How did they go? Has she thought about a career? Then change the subject.

Do not call her any more. If she does end up at the party, do not make an extra effort to run into her. When your paths cross, go ahead and make small talk, but do not bring up that she didn't call you back. If you do that, she'll read you as "NEEDY" or worse. Off the cuff, I think this one's a lost cause. Don't get hung up on her.

Ummm, Why are you stressing? I dont think she is really interested. She would have made more of an effort to get in contacted with you.
