95 aurora tranny problems

:( I was woundering if someone could help me. I have a 95 aurora that seems to have a tranmission problem. When I put it reverse it acts like is dosnt want to go in revserve and in will .....rev up to rpm of 1 or 2 before it will back up. Also it jerks when u get around 45-55 mph while in overdrive. I was told that it might be that I need a new battery...or may be internal problems with the tranmission. I had a friend test it and stated it was a internal prolbme with my tranmission but also if the battery is old it will give a false postive on the machine.

Could this be the solenoids or do i need to buy a new tranny?

Hmm it sounds like your tranny is slipping. A fluid / filter change might solve this.
