Shut vehicle off to get gas. Started vehicle after getting gas and brake light and traction control off light stay on in dash. Any suggestions?

I just developed the same problem today. Checked owners manual which which indicates that there is a brake problem. I also noticed that the brake pedal will sink if constant pressure is applied when sitting still with engine running. My guess is that I have a fluid leak which I will be checking out next. Apparently if there is a brake problem your traction control will go off according to the owners manual.
