nj tinting

i got a 98 civic . i plan on having all the windows tinted except 4 the windshield......i wuz juss wondering if ne1 living in nj got a ticket for 35% tint cuz im planning 2 put that on my windows....and would i pass the safety inspection? thanks

You would have to check your local laws concerning window tint....

Here are a few tips to look for to get a GOOD tint job:
Ask the shop to look as some work previously done on cars so you can justify that they'll do a quality job.
Don't settle for the price, settle for the quality; hack shops charge less than real professional tinters but do a job of lesser quality work.
Some things you should look for when you see the shop's work are to make sure: there are no light gaps, make sure they use a quality film, and make sure there is very little or no bubbles or contamination (little white bubbles, hairs, etc...).
Last thing is get the legal VLT. When a police officer pulls over some dude or dudette with 5% VLT tint, it makes professional tinters look bad; this could also push influence to make tinting as a whole illegal in your state.
